Bob, I just rebuilt my GT-16 Hydro this past winter. When I took the engine apart I found huge chunks of insulation missing from the front of the electric clutch coil. Because it had been working fine when I took it apart I just covered it with finger nail polish and put it back together. It worked ok till yesterday. It had rained quite hard all last week. The tractor started fine but every time I tried to engage the deck the engine killed.I suspected moisture was shorting the system so I ran the engine for 5 minutes to dry things out. Worked fine after that. I wish I knew where to get those coils. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
