This is a follow-up on a post below titled "What Gives". This morning I went to DOT and talked to an officer with many strips on his sleeve and asked about any laws or regs. on RV 5th wheel location. He said there is no regs. on RV's that he knew of. Also said that there are so many crazy laws out there that it could be possible but he was sure there wasn't. Then I went to the camper dealer and showed all the research I had from the Internet and also a print out of the post from below. He showed me what the lady on the phone called the state law. It was a directive from FORD and Husky telling them to install hitches 2 inches behind the axle. The dealer told me this was going to become a national law by March of 2005. The dealer felt they did nothing wrong since they were told to install this way by Ford. They will move my hitch forward if I buy a new installation kit and sign a release of liability form. They must put the hitch where Ford tells them to in order to not void the warranty. They also said they are not allowed to drill hole in the frame and can only use existing holes Ford had in the frame. I'm still not done with this. Tomorrow I'm going to the Ford dealer and find out what’s going on and if I don't get any answers, I'm calling Dearborn and try to find some engineers to tell me what’s going on here. I wish I can put a copy of that paper on this forum for you all to see. Later.

They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
