Mornin' Todd, Ouch! That truly bites the big one. I've worked on the GMs all my life until '99, then I jumped over to Ford and ran with them for a time. I gotta tell you, those Power Strokes are one tough outfit and I think you are just a poor soul who happened to have had the bad luck of getting stuck with a truck that didn't have the proper modification done to that air cleaner assembly earlier in it's life. Now the question is, what do you do with the thing? Only three choices as I see it: New engine, used engine or trade the thing off. Maybe even rebuild it as KY says, but your Ford dealer isn’t gonna do that type of work, believe me. And a rebuild will not come with much of a warranty either. But, let's face it. As it stands now, the truck isn't worth a plug nickel. The only direction for you is up, no matter what you chose to do. All you can do is close your eyes, turn around and throw a dart at that board hangin’ on the wall. Hope you get 'er straightened out, Allan

How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
