I like to drive forward, blade angled 30 degrees to right and if your blade offsets, do so to the right. I'd run with loader above snow or use for drifts. Lengthen top link an inch or so if it digs in. Blades will always dig more backing up that pulling forward. I get stiff in the neck and back while backing, so I drive forward on my 1/4 mile driveway. I went from your set up to a nice warm pickup with hydraulic plow and now plow in shirt sleeves while listening to the 'toons. I also have a front mounted snow blower on my 860 Ford when banks are too high and like back in 1999, I had to get out the TLB to widen the path and built up 10 foot banks on both sides the other 1/8 mile end of the drive. The last 2 years I also used the backhoe to better slope the ridge on one side and the bank on the other side so now mother nature blows most of the snow right on over and past my drive and puts it down in the fence row! Winter is fun up here in Wisconsin.
