If you didn't put a resistor in series with the coil primary lead you may have well fried the coil. Otherwise when it stops, take the drain plug out of the carburetor float bowl. This running sequence is also a common problem when the fuel system is clogged, varnish on the carburetor inlet screen is the place least checked and seems to be the place with the worst problem. But can be the sediment bowl screen, the line, the float valve, or the screen in the tank, or even the gas cap vent plugged. Gerald
