thanks hurst..the tractor started right up but we didn't drive it because the lady wasn't home but she did leave the key in it for us...the 3pt had a bush hog on it when we got there and the hog was still in the air, after we started it we levered it right down and up again..there was oil near the front of the motor when i ran my hand under it (not alot) and kind of like a plug hole with a cotter pin in it near or on the bell housing, stuck my finger in it and came out with oil on it..i just don't know much about these thing but i will ask my friend about a pressure gauge...looks like they kept the tractor inside and it is a horse stable with other larger tractors mostly for haying she said...thanks so much for the replies and help...Keith
