I understand your frustration C.R. . I am the parade chairman for our show. No riders except that a seat has been provided or the tractor may require 2 or more operators like the steam engines and some of the old big gassers. This rule has been brought on by the insurance companies and just plain common sense. We do allow younger drivers with a permit signed by mom,dad or the legal guardian, but even then common sense indicates that you do not turn a 3 year old loose with a 50 hp tractor (we've been asked!). The other issue beyond caring for your child or yourself, is that the sponsoring organization has to protect the safety of the crowd. In this litigious society this responsibility will preclude allowing riders. My sole recommedation is to have a cart, wagon or sulky that can be pulled behind the tractor, or install a second seat like the europeans do.

I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
