In SE Oregon / SW Idaho, I have seen attempts to dodder in irrigated fields by burning. Use a propane weed burner and burn out the affected area. Of course this will damage the host plants (your crop) but this damage is preferrable to the alternative - large-scale crop loss.

Ten-to-fifteen years ago, burning was acceptable even in fields of certified alfalfa or clover seed. I don't know about now.
