Went looking at wedding bands this weekend and saw one that caught my eye. It was made of titanium carbide. Yes, the same stuff drill bits are made out of, polished up real nice. I thought this would be perfect. If it was damaged, $25 and they would replace it. Since I feel like I tear up anvils sometimes, I thought this would work great. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. What would happen if the ring got stuck and they had to cut it off. What would happen? They can't engrave on the inside of the ring because they don't have a bit to do it yet. How would I ever be able to get it off? I am now thinking that traditional gold might be the wisest choice.

Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
