Full fuel tank

My MF 231 I use for mowing only holds so much diesel fuel. About twice a year I try to put more in it after it's already full. I had diesel fuel all over everything including my pants and shoes. I guess it uses less fuel than I thought. I acquired a air powered drum pump, but haven't got it in operation yet. I have a above ground tank, but don,t use enough fuel to justify a fuel truck commming out. What methods do you folks use when filling your tractor.Stan
