If needed that section of the front end can be replaced. Is it IH or schwartz? I think you will find the spindle is kind of pricey. A company in Rock Valley, Iowa has these for less money it is called A&I or A&E. I have used some of their parts with good results. A lot of independent shops have their catalog. Some dealrs will too. These are new parts. I haven't had very good luck with used spindles.
