This is way out of the ordinary but one of my farm neighbors has a 1988 GMC short bed pickup with 250,000 miles on it. It has the 350 engine. Runs like a top and the head has never been pulled. Using a 1/2 quart of oil every 3,000 miles. He is religious about changing the oil and filter every 3,000 miles.
