I posted awhile back about my tranny in my truck acting up when its cold. The tranny won't shift out of second untill the engine warms up. I took the advice I recived and had the PCM reflashed but still have the same problem. It only seems to act up when the outside temp is 32 deg. or below. I was told by the dealer that there is a bad o-ring in the trans. somewhere or there is a shift solinoid acting up. Said that even if it was just the o-ring it would cost $700 just to take the tranny out. or possibly $2-2300 to fix if the solinoid is bad. This seems rather expensive to me as I can get a rebuilt tranny for much less than $2300. Are these guys giving me the run around? I know that the truck was fully warmed up when they worked on it and they didn't road test it. Mike.
