bearcat Get yourself a real forklift. Spent many hours on a Clark like the one in Walt's pic. On packed gravel shouldn't have any problems if it has air tires, they flex a bit & give fair flotation. Foam filled or solid tires would be helpless on gravel. Stay away from the 3 wheel Hyster unless on paved surface. Too much weight on that single rear wheel, it sinks fast. A forklift like that Clark, or any other brand of that type, will let you store & retrieve pallets in 4 foot wide rows without disturbing the rows beside. Rear steering turns short, inside(drive) wheel can cut a circle of 12 in radius, sometimes shorter. Also can drive inside supplier's trucks to unload. BUT--- don't try to carry a pallet inside a single axle straight truck, the front end will lift, the rear drop, & you are stuck.
