HELP WITH A CHEVY 4.3L

MY DAILY DRIVER IS A 2001 CHEVY 1500 WITH A 4.3L MOTOR, ONE DAY I WAS PASSING A CAR AND THE ENGINE STARTED CHATTERING REALLY BAD AND ONCE I LET OFF THE EXELERATOR IT STOPPED, TOOK IT TO THE LOCAL CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND THEY DID EVERYTHING, CHANGED THE PLUGS, DISTRIBUTER, WIRES, AND INJECTORS, TOOK IT HOME AND IT STILL DID IT, AROUND 3800 RPM IT GOES CRAZY, ONE GUY TOLD ME HIS WIFES SUBURBAN WAS DOING THE SAME THING, AND HE REBUILT THE MOTOR FOR 2 GRAND, AND FOUND OUT IT WAS THE CAT'S, ANOTHER TOLD ME I HAD TOO MUCH CARBON BUILD UP ON THE ENGINE AND I NEEDED A ENGINE CLEANING, CAN ANYONE HELP WITH THIS, I WAS THINKING OF GOING AND BUYING SOME SEAFOME OR SOMTHING ESLE TO RUN THROUGH THE GAS SYSTEM TO HELP IT OUT, ANY SUGGESTIONS
