My uncle did all his 4x4 round bales with either his IH 574 or his Allis Chalmers 6060. He used both tractors, never did hear which he though was better, but if I had to guess, it was problably his 6060, which had 60hp. Theres alot of big old high horsepower iron kicking around thats cheap, trouble is, they are also thirsty. If you like Allis you ould get a 7000 or any of the series since they are cheap, however, I believe all the ones that used the 426ci engine were equipped with a 75 gallon fuel tank, so keep that in mind. The 7000 used the 301ci, which is also the same motor used in the 190 and 200. What really stinks about the big tractors is they use alot of fuel even while your trying to do a little job. I agree with the others about a big tractor being overkill for a small round baler. Save the big tractor idea until you want to upgrade to the big squares, then you'll start seeing minimum horsepower requirments of 150hp+.
