If the orange peel is that bad, you are probably going to go through your paint anyway. Orange peel can be caused by a surface that was not completely clean, in which case you would need to go through to the primer anyway. Sand as well as you need to, reprime places that need it and repaint. Depending on which paint you are using, you can get additives to mix in to prevent orange peel. Ask at your paint store. If they don't know what you are asking for, look for another paint store
