Trying to understand more about diesel...before winter

1. Would the diesel be cut for winter fuel yet?
2. Do you have to worry about volume of diesel sales where you buy to ensure that the fuel you are getting is winter fuel?
3. Should I add winter additives myself? What happens if you add off the shelf mix to winter fuel?
4. What is the difference between kerosene and winter fuel? Does winter diesel have additional engine additives that kerosene would not have? Thanks Kim
