I usually have 5-7 400 pounders over winter in a 3 sided 9x16 homemade pole shed on skids facing south. Once the ground freezes, I put a stack of cornstalk bedding down (that is about twice as needed) and then add part stacks during the winter as needed. No need to spend money on gravel. Every couple years I drag the shelter to a different spot. They stay dry, and rarely are all in there at the same time. I think 10 animals of that size would be fine. A friend does about the same thing, but puts sawdust down first, then adds cornstalk bedding as needed. I live in central Wisconsin.
