It was about 20F outside and I started my Super Major diesel, I was going to let it warm up a bit when I got called away. It turned out I left it idle about 20 min. I heard it change idle speed slightly at about 15 min. and at 20 min.it quit. The next day I went to start it and it was stuck. I drained the oil and found no metal. I smelled the oil and I don't think it was burnt, maybe slightly. I found the fan belt loose, maybe too loose. If the roads get bare of snow today I'm going to pull it and see if it breaks loose. My thoughts are it over heated. Any thoughts on the damage?
