I have a pair of 51 cases, a VAC with an eagle hitch and an SC without. We recently purchased a small acreage to build on and I need to get a mower purchased. I am looking for a mower for the secondary yard area and taller clipping of the horse pasture. I do not anticipate any sprout or brush mowing. I am looking at a 6' Bush Hog brand, 3 point hitch mounted which I can only use on the VAC or a 6' trailer type King Kutter brand that I could use on either tractor. I know the King Kutter is lighter and cheaper than the bush hog, but bush hog's cheapest trailer mowers are around $3,000, well out of range for what I am wanting. Am I wasting my money on the King Kutter? Are there any other brands of lighter weight, lower priced trailer type mowers I should be looking at? Any advice would be appreciated.
