The engine put out the same Hp to the driveshaft But the 4.11 has more Hp. to the ground with less speed then the 3.73 . Think of it like a 10 speed bike in mud you could go futher in 1st gear then you could in 10th gear if you were staring from a dead stop. Even if you could pedel slow enough in 10 th to keep the wheel speed the same it would take a lot more power to keep moving. Am I wrong and if so explain Please . The engine puts out the same torque to the driveshaft with either ratio but 4.11 has more torque to the ground . I don't think He should change ratios because what is gained in power would be lost in economy and wear on the vehicle . Useing a lower gear would be aboult the same as having a different gear ratio.
