Yea the corn is drying up quick. we had killer frost two weeks ago, and have been hitting it as hard as we can. theres only two of us so the going is slow. As far as the shear bar we set it up everyday and check the knives and sharpen as needed. the chopper has the stone right on it so that is handy. this is our second field too the first was a silage corn variety and was twice as tall but bareley any cobs. we also are in one of the dryest parts of north dakota in the south west. just 3 miles north they had 4-6 inches more rain than we did. thanks for the comments.
