I was wondering what other enthusiasts considered to be the worst ideas or worst features found on these older tractors. My question is for each Brand, IHC, John Deere, Case, Allis Chalmers, Oliver, Minneapolis Moline, Massey Harris, Ford, or any other maker. For example, A bad idea for IHC might be the TA or the Fast Hitch. ( I am not picking on IHC, this was just an example, OK?) My nomination for worst idea for John Deere is the engine design for the 1010 and 2010 tractors. The deck and sleeve design was prone to poor sealing, leaks, and is difficullt to repair or replace today. JD70jim

On the Road with Dave Gohl: Auction Musings - by Dave Gohl. I was thinking the other day about all the auctions I've been to in the last few years. There've been many. Some have been very good, some have been well, disappointing to say the least. But no matter how good or bad auctions may be, we always seem to stay until the item we've come for or are interested in is on the block. I've been to some auctions near and far. I think the furthest has been the Two Cylinder 7 in the Amana Colonies last year. Lots of stuff, lots of people. I've also atten
