If as you say,"Direct completed a credit check on the person when setting up an account"Then they know through the check whether the credit is good or not ,from the customers request for their services. If a person is to disappear with their equipment, all that is required is for them to shut down the signal devoted directly to that receiver,thus the receiver becomes so much worthless junk and the company can deduct the loss from their taxable income ie/ business loss. We got through to em that we didn't have to give them my SS# so they used my address as a means to do their credit check there by using the property as a security measure(I'm sure).If in fact you are a salesman for both companies, then you know the need for them to make sales, regardless of un-secured services.The crooks who find ways of going into records of individuals to steal their income and assets, is rampant, and I'll not open the door for them to come in and help themselves.I become as Leary of them as they are of me. But in fact the payment to their services shows just how credible a customer we are,Payments on time every time for over 7 years 2004-2011 with out a default or late payment for services rendered.
