If it just bogs down when you let out the clutch, and does not move, then it is very possible that it is stuck between two gears. All Cubs have 3 speeds. Could be a bent shifter fork. Pull off the tranny top cover and take a look. If you have a repair manual it will be a huge benefit to you.
