Charge it, please...

Hey,
Finally got around to replacing a bad voltage regulator on my F - 140. I am having a hard time finding a 6 volt, negative ground regulator. My local Case IH dealer tells me that they never made a 6 volt negative ground system. Is that so? The system sure looks original. If I can't find a negative ground regulator(Have been to all the local auto parts & tractor supply stores), what do I have to do to change it to a positive ground system?
