Allen , I H went from the side breather to the top breather as a Hp. thing with a piston change cam and a few other things over the first 414's and 55 lbs. at 1200 RPM is nothing to get your shorts in a wad over , now if it had 45 lbs at full throttel then i would maybe start looken for a problem . High oil pressure take Hp. and also does not help bearing life as Cummins figured out . Also a lot of times electrical gauges do not read correctly along with some of the newer junk mechanical gauges that ya buy that are made across the pond. My 1486 was reading low on the dash gauge and i thought that i had a problem till i put my GOOD test gauge on it as the dash gauge only goes up 2/3rds. of the way at full throttel and drops off to about half at idel the mechanical gauge showes 60 at idel and 75 at full throttel hot .
