M front crank seal relacement.

What is the best way to change the the front crank seal on my 1940 M. Some people have said to take the front bolster out in order to get the pulley off. The other option I've heard is to unbolt the frame rails at the bellhousing and roll it out. It's not leaking bad but I want an idea before I dig into it.
