The Woods belly mower on my Farmall A has developed a belt problem. Since putting a new belt on last summer the belt is wanting to roll over and run upside down on the drive pully. All of the adjustments and tensions have been checked and rechecked and seem to be just fine. After coming out from under the front V-idler pully it can't seem to maintain the half twist up to the drive pully. Within just a few seconds of engaging the PTO it rolls over. The one thing I've noticed is that comparing it to the old belt I removed last summer it appears that the new belt does not have as deep of a V to it. If that is the case it would not have enough grip depth to hold it adequately in the drive pully after the short half twist. I got the belt at my local International/Woods dealer as I have all previous belts. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Are the belts not quite the dimensions they originally were? I've used this mower for years and never had this problem. Thanks, John in KY Farmall A, International Cub
