don't have any problem with your approach Larry, but just wondering - - why would we "toast" a valve cover gasket just to isolate number one at TDC on the compression stroke? I suppose you meant if a further check of valve timing was required, huh? Do you agree that's not necessary if we only think the ignition timing is off by 360 degrees, or 180 in terms of the rotor? RKS
