My "new" 300U hydraulic system is sick. The problem seems to be intermittant -- sometimes the loader moves OK, but sometimes nothing. Then after moving a few minutes, fine again. I thought it was a bad pump, but then (especially after seeing the price of a new pump) wondered if it could be water in the oil or maybe a clogged screen in the reservoir. I'm planning to drain the reservoir and try to clean any filter/screen before replacing the oil. Is there any trick to this? When the seat is removed and the top of the reservoir unbolted, is the filter/screen inside immediately accessible? Any ideas on the best substance for resealing the "lid" on the reservoir when its bolted back on? Any thoughts from someone who has been thru this little project before would be appreciated very much. Thanks. Bob Kirk
