Farmall A - no water pump????

I bought my grandfather's old "A" at an auction
and am planning on some minor work. It runs pretty good, but needs some carb work, I think. However, I saw a posting some time ago that the "A" doesn't have a water pump. Is this true? If so, how does the cooling system work? I remember Granddad running that thing all day out there in the fields and I don't believe he ever had a problem with overheating. Somebody please clue me in.
