Are the 986 and 1486 the same transmission? I had a fabricated piece of equipment that bolted to sides of transmission and rear housing of 1066. A friend borrowed that piece of equipment to use on his 966 only to discover the equipment was 3-4 inches too wide for use on 966 chassis. Rather than modify he used my tractor too. We did some measureing later 10 and 14 are same 7 and 9 are the same and smaller than 10 and 14. 15 is completely different in that it has planetaries instead of bull gears.
