We bought this tractor 10 years ago for $2500 and ran it ever since usually 60 acres or more of hay every year ,cutting and baling ,it never used any oil and always started pretty good,as good as those engines do.it's always had a seep on the right side of the head gasget and would lose a half to a full gallon of antifreeze every year,I just decided it was time to fix it and see what I found.The sleeve cracks go at least half way down the sleeve and one has two cracks.I was just suprised because the engine ran prefect.The only parts I've ever had to change were filters and oil.almost a maintainance free tractor till now
