Richard, did you turn the engine over after removing the head and the sleeve came up? They shouldent come up as there dry and have a tight fit. If it aint up so far that the oil ring has expanded below it, clean the seating area on the block and shove it back down the head will hold it. I would check it good to see if its not cracked. what was the reason for removing the head?
