FARMALL H WITH HEAVY METALIC NOCK

Thought that i hade made a posting of this a week and a half ago. but it is that i got loaded down with some of lives little things that pop up now and then {seems to me that it pops up more often to me than i would think it should. anywho i was unable to read what the farmall wise men had to say, and now cant find my posting in the arcives. so lets do it agin. i was on the tractor one day and a friend showed up{happend to be a surprise geust for my birthday party if you will} so i shut the tractor off to talk to him. when i restarted the tractor a vary loud and aparent kock was comeing from the engine. so i shut off right away and spent some time tring to enjoy my party. later that evening i went down to check the oil, i checked the il on the homeade pid stick a preveus owner had instaled and it said that the iol was low so i went up to the house and grabed the oil and an ajustible wrench i first thought that i would try to open the rusted tight bleed valve on the side of the oil pan{ that would be the bottom bleed valve as the top one has been broken off long before i bought the H in early spring. when i got it to open not a drop of oil was to be found. so much for that P.O.S homeade dipstickthat i was going by, i was a fool and thought that someone would have done that right DUUUUUHHHHH. a good friends granddad who helps me when i need it says that i may have spun a main bearing, and told me to see if a conecting rod would wiggle, i didnt notice a wiggle. any thought as where to go from here or could the mains still be the problem. thank in advance STEVEN HESSELGRAVE
