I only have experience with the electronic ignition kit that is supplied by Genessee Products. Installing that kit is about as easy as installing a set of points. You do not have to adjust anything, like you would do when setting the point gap on conventional ignition. You will have to set the ignition timging when you are done installing the kit because it is likely that the electronic ignition kit will fire the coil at a slightly different time than the points that are in the tractor now.
