What is the best way to install the pulley on the crank. I have looked in the achieves and it isn't all that clear. I know there are two suggestions, one is to heat the pulley and pound on with 3lbs sledge, the other is to use the bolt tread in the crank. My thoughts: I've been told cranks are " brittle", if you ever dropped one it could crack. Therefore, what would pounding it with a sledge do ? furthermore..would this effect my brand new bearings ? Thanks again. Brian.
