The timing is the same. The head and possibly piston tops are a little different changing compression slightly. Stroke I believe is the same and so is carburation. The manifold on a dual burner is also different. Dual fuel burners also had extra tank for gas, and radiator shutters. There may have been different letters to indicate the difference between distillate and kerosene (the two major heavier fuels) and also a slight difference in there set up but I am not positive on that. The major key to burning those fuels was to burn them in an engine that was warmed up already on gas and the manifold helped by preheating the intake air and the shutters on the radiator could be closed up to allow the tractor to run hot or near hot. The nescessity of these tractors to be started on gas was becuase these tractors could not run when cold on the heavier fuels. These fuels were cheaper to burn than gas when these tractors were new but it is not cost efficient or worth while burning these fuels as of modern day.
