Thought I had it figured out?

Howdy people!
I just purchased an International 350 diesel tractor and was trying to figure out the year. The plate was bare except a stamped number "3081" and then way to the right of it was an S and above that was a D.
I looked at the serials listed here and came to the conclusion that it was a 1957 since the number falls after the serial # of 1963. Then went to the registry and looked and there were numbers way higher and lower with different years than what the starting numbers were listed for each year. Am I right that this is a 57? I want to call it a 1957 International 350 D Utility tractor. Would this be reasonable? I want to get some books on it so I can get started fixing it up, but am afraid I'll get the wrong thing, so thought I would check with you experts first. Thanks for your time,
