Hi Hugh, I don't think this model has glow plugs. My hubby said it does and I just had to disagree with him. His comment was that they start by a glow plug instead of a spark plug and I thought he was wrong. I think it is supposed to have an intake manifold heater instead, but I doubt there is one. I hadn't noticed a heater switch button, but then, I wasn't looking. It has so many of the other accessories, it might just have that too! When I started it yesterday I had just put a new battery in it and should have tried starting without the ether. The old battery didn't have much power to it. Might have been that causing the hard start(?). Plus, the cables are nasty, but I haven't replaced them yet. As I said, every time I go to the tractor it rains...still! One thing I noticed is that the oil pressure, charge indicator and heat indicator gauges seem to be working. The tach cable is broke, so I'll have to fix that and see what happens. Now I want to run out and see if the heater button is there! Talk soon, Diana
