Sue - My suspicion is your generator set was assembled by the generator mfr using an IHC power unit. And in this case the power unit itself was assembled by IHC using a Continental-supplied engine. But I'm just guessing here. Perhaps someone like Guy Fay can provide a more definitive answer. What you really need to know is WHO manufactured the generator set. Possiblilities include Northeast Electric, US Electric, Delco, Winco, GE, Louis Allis, or any of perhaps dozen others. Gotta be a name plate someplace either on the set or on the generator head. A pair of 35 amp breakers (on 120 volts) is about right for a 5 KW generator. Would require about 10 HP to run at full load. And that should be well within the capacity of the engine you show in your pix. Whatever it is you've got there, it's pretty cool!
