ltf,I have a 45 I-4 and the same manual that he does,I think.There were no major changes in the wiring,just where they connected.Furthermore there is not an alt,at least not any that I have found,that will fit under the hood of an I-4 without cutting the hood.I know from experience that is not the thing to do because those hoods are EXTREMELY hard to find.As far as overchargimg the battery,I converted my I-4 to a "12 volt" gen over 8 months ago and it gets driven several hours a week and I have never had any problems with it overchargeing.
