656 Hydrostatic

I just purchased a 656 Hydrostatic which seems to have a problem with the auxillary hydraulic system. I was told that it blew a hydraulic line on the "Fast Attach" loader, the owner had someone replace the line and return the tractor, not used since then. Any time the powersteering is turned or the loader is acutated there is a great deal of whining/light grinding, etc. and the loader just jumps like the fluid is pulsating. Is there anyway to purge this system or is the pump bad?
