B Farmall serial number/year

To all those of you in Farmall Land, a John Deere guy needs your help. I inherited a B Farmall from my family. The serial tag is missing, but I am told that from the casting number on the head that I should be able to come pretty close to the year that it was built. The casting number is 6716DB. All I have is John Deere information and don't know where to start looking on the Internet to get B Farmall info. Any help would be appreciated.
