A few of you know that I've been restoring my old 1936 Farmall F-20. The engine block was cracked and froze to a solid state. No question about it, most everyone else would have sent her to Heaven (scrap heap) but I saved her. I ask myself why several times as the parts bill goes through the roof but her cries from the grave would have killed me. The F-20 was made in June of 1936 (With the help of the Nebraska Farmer, Thanks)and had an older paint job of gray. Under the gray I found plenty of red paint but no gray paint under that. The F-20 is suppose to have gray paint and I was told by others that the old Gray paint matches the bare metal color and I may have missed it. I finished stripping out the old motor and noticed the interior was painted a deep red color. However I may have found a spot with some original gray on the block but I'm not 100 percent sure. Were all the engine blocks interiors painted red or were they painted the color of the tractor? The gray I found seemed pretty dark and much darker then the bare metal color. Any and all opinions welcomed and encouraged.
