Not too bad a job. Get a parts diagram from you dealer, or get a parts catalog for the A and you can see what you have to deal with. Brakes are likely bad because oil has leaked past the shaft seals and gotten on the brakes. Therefore while you have it apart, replace the seals on the shafts at the transmission housing and at the final drive housing as well as renewing the brake bands. If you replace all those seals, you are looking at $150-200 in parts, including the brake bands. Support tractor well and do one side at a time, as things may get a bit tipsy if you take off both rear wheels and final drives at the same time.
