You need to check for a hot spark at the sparkplug when the tractor dies. Have someone to
try and start the engine while you hold the plug wire away from the plug. Should be a hot spark. If this tractor has been converted to 12 volts
and has a ballast resistor it may be shot.
Try a new condenser, but it could be a weak coil.
