Help - I recently acquired a 49 H from my brother. It has been sitting in a shed for 4+ years but prior to that used quite frequently for mowing. Had a fella out to look it over and ended up replacing many parts, battery cables, new battery, carb kit, etc. Well it does start now but does not stay running. It will sit and run without moving for several minutes but when you drive it, it stalls and dies. After sitting for about 30 min or so you can start it right up go another 100 yards or so and quit again. One guy suggested taking the gas tank off and sealing it? Sorry for my ignorance but if anyone has any suggestions, I am so open to them. The fella that worked on my tractor suggested taking the tank off and having it redone or adding a filter prior to the carb. But with the filter, we would still have issues. Not sure if we are on the right track or not, but like I said would love and entertain and suggestions. Thanks in advance... Patti (Iowa)

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
